Obama, Healthcare, Republicans and Rush Limbaugh

Lots of crap going on in the political world. This healthcare bill ain't going anywhere, although Obama is going to address Congress on Wednesday, I don't think that it is going to make a difference, I can't see a comprehensive healthcare bill being passed. I believe that the mistake that Obama made was that he should have gone with immigration reform as his big policy change. He is on the same page pretty much as John McCain on this and there are a ton of Republicans in big hispanic districts that politically can't afford not to back him. He would have gotten mass bipartisan support, which would have helped him out next year in the mid-terms, and then he could have introduced the Health Care legislation. I'm afraid Dems are going to lose big in the mid-terms and he won't have a hope in hell of getting anything through after that.

The other thing is that he is going to address the nations schoolkids tomorrow, and there's a big outcry from the right (led by that bastard Rush Limbaugh) of course, saying he plans to indoctrinate our kids. Fucking 'ell!!! I agree with the Education Secretary who says that the question shouldn't be whether he is going to indoctrinate our kids, but why in the hell has it been 18 years since their was a Presidential Adress to the nation's kids (Bush No. 1) He was going to tell them to stay in school, and make the most of every opportunity etc, etc, it's so ridiculous.
